Planning For Your Trip

Trip Info

Full day trips are approximately 8 hours  and half day trips are 4 hours, depending on location and conditions.

Full Day Rate: $800

Half Day Rate: $600

The cost is per boat. Each boat holds a maximum of 3 people: 2 anglers and a guide. Multiple boat trips can be arranged, just let Capt. Hunter know so he can arrange this.

All ages are welcome! But I recommend a half day trip to start for our younger anglers who are experiencing their first sight casting charter on a skiff.

What’s Included?

  • water & ice
  • rods, reels, flies/lures, leaders, & tippet
  • For full day trips, lunch can be provided upon request

What Should I Bring/?

  •  TX fishing license Link Here
  • 50+ SPF sunscreen
  • polarized sunglasses (copper base is best for TX Flats sight casting)
  • non-skid/non-marking shoes (flip flops or boat shoes are great!)
  • any preferred drinks/snacks
  • weather appropriate sun-wear

Capt. Hunter can provide recommendations on all attire if needed and can provide sunglasses. If you prefer to bring your own rods/reels or tackle, that is welcomed! Hunter and you will discuss this before your trip to talk rod recommendations. A 8wt (9wt if we have windy conditions) rod with an aggressive weight forward floating line works best for our area!

Deposit, Reschedule and Cancellation Policy

All trip reservations require a booking fee as deposit to hold the date of $200. Once we have a date(s) set for your trip, the deposit is applied towards the total balance of the trip.

All deposits  are non-refundable, but are conditionally transferable. See the Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy below for more information.

The remaining balance is due the day of the trip in cash, check, Zelle, or Venmo.

Any gratuity after the trip is entirely up to you. The average gratuity ranges between 15-25% of the total cost of the trip and tipping your guide is standard practice in the fly fishing industry.

This policy applies to all booked trips.

All booking deposits or available credits are non-refundable.

If you need to reschedule or cancel your trip two (2) weeks before your trip, your deposit will be applied toward a future trip date that works for you and Capt. Hunter.

Cancellations within 48 hours of the trip will result in a lost deposit.

Safety is paramount and your guide reserves the right to reschedule the trip due to inclement weather and/or dangerous conditions. In that case, we will apply any deposits toward a future trip.

Please note we fish in all safe weather conditions, rain or shine, year-round. Please contact your guide at least 48-hrs prior to your trip if you are concerned about the weather conditions.
